History
Composed by James Scott Skinner ("The Strathspey King") of Aberdeen, Scotland (1843-1927). Skinner was a prolific composer, with over 600 tunes to his credit, including "Glenlivet". He published several collections, including; "The Miller o' Hirn Collection" (1881), "The Logie Collection of Original Music for Voice, Violin and Pianoforte" (1888), and "The Harp and Claymore" (1904).
